What should I do if my water heater is leaking from the top?

If water is leaking from the top of your water heater, shut it down and schedule a repair. Turn off power (breaker for electric; set gas to pilot/off) and close the cold-water shutoff. Top leaks often come from the cold inlet, hot outlet, the anode rod port, or the temperature and pressure (T&P) valve. Do not overtighten fittings. Our trained and certified technicians service all makes and models, perform flushes, T&P checks, and anode inspections, and can replace the unit if needed. We serve Rockledge and nearby Space Coast cities.

  • Switch off power and water.
  • Dry the top and look for drips at inlet/outlet, T&P valve, or anode port.
  • Book a diagnostic so a tech can confirm the source and fix.
